Determining the basics

Preliminary planning & design
- Specification of technical and design requirements
- Definition of performance limits
- Development of an inspirational lighting concept
- Investigation of variants if necessary
- If necessary, integrative-drawing representation (sketch)
- Lighting calculations incl. 3D visualisations
- Clarification of essential, interdisciplinary interfaces
- Budget estimation
- Definition of all systems and system components (luminaires, luminaire control gear and system components up to the defined interface, including technical parameters and accessories)
- Assistance with scheduling
Authorisation and implementation planning
- Creation of the lighting layouts in the form of floor plans, sections and wall layouts if necessary
- Functional diagrams of the systems (e.g. switching/dimming groups etc.); coordination of the implementation drawings with the property planner and the other specialist planners
- Listing of all systems with technical data (e.g. luminous flux, light colour, beam angle, protection class, etc.)
- Development of lighting scenes and functional diagrams for the systems (e.g. switching/dimming groups etc.)
- Negotiations with authorities and other organisations to be involved, preparation and compilation of documents and evidence
- Final cost estimate
- Handing over the updated implementation planning to the executing companies
Assignments & construction supervision
- Preparation of service and product specifications
- Drawing up the tender documents – in particular with service specifications according to service areas (trades)
- Obtaining offers, determining the costs on the basis of the service and product specifications priced by the planner
- Checking and evaluating the bids, conducting bidder discussions, preparing award proposals
- Monitoring the execution for compliance with the planning and approvals
- Drawing up, updating and monitoring the schedule
- Checking and evaluating the necessity of changed or additional contractor services and the appropriateness of prices
- Checking invoices in terms of calculation and technical aspects
- Technical acceptance of the services and products on the basis of the documentation provided, monitoring the rectification of defects identified during acceptance
