Absolutely. Lighting design refers to the professional planning and design of darkness and brightness. We work hand in hand with your interior designer with the common goal of creating an aesthetically pleasing and functional environment for you as the room user. While your interior designer selects the basic room uses, colours, materials, furniture and other decorative elements, the lighting design starts at a different level to emphasise the desired atmosphere. So that your rooms become your calling card.
Unfortunately, the topic of light is often considered far too late or not at all in project planning. This is because, unlike a room element or functional object, the need for lighting design is not obvious to non-experts. Timely lighting planning is a great benefit. It allows you to make optimum use of your rooms, create a harmonious design and fulfil your needs on a physical and emotional level. Ideally, your lighting planner should be involved in the preliminary or design planning of your project. But even at an advanced stage, it is not too late to think about a lighting concept – as it always brings benefits. Of course, lighting design therefore also makes sense in your existing rooms.
Thanks to the intensive co-operation with various distributors and the possibility of installation by the respective sales company, planning can also be accompanied 1:1 during the implementation phase. ALS remains your personal contact partner in all service phases and a smooth process is guaranteed.
The cost of a lighting design can vary depending on the scope of the project and individual requirements. It is therefore essential to discuss your project at an initial appointment and determine the requirements in order to obtain a cost estimate. As a rule, the costs are calculated based on the working time, the desired content of the services and additional factors such as the desired interaction. In some cases, it makes sense to agree on flat rates for certain projects.
The duration of the overall service depends on various factors, including the service phases selected, the scope of the project, the dependence on external trades and planning statuses and the availability of the materials required for implementation. Smaller projects can be completed in a few days to weeks, while larger projects can take several months or years. After the initial consultation, it is often possible to estimate a rough schedule for your specific project.
Involvement in the project by the customer themselves is essential in certain phases. After the initial meeting, it is therefore necessary for you to invest some time in your project-related lighting design in at least two further meetings. This is less about active cooperation and coordination of implementation details and more about your opinion and views on planned atmospheres – because you yourself are at the centre of every lighting design. Agreements between architects and planners, the executing trade and other players, on the other hand, do not have to be accompanied by you as the customer.
